The COWS community continues to prove that when people come together for a purpose, the impact can be extraordinary.

During the 2024–2025 financial year, The CHOC COWS proudly raised an incredible R5 825 000 in support of the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA. This fundraising helps provide vital services to children battling cancer and their families across South Africa.

Thanks to this support, CHOC was able to deliver meaningful assistance where it matters most:

• 6 134 people received psychosocial support in hospital wards

• 32 159 bed nights were provided at CHOC Houses for families needing accommodation during treatment

• 92 418 meals were served at CHOC Houses

• 1 572 food parcels supported 8 095 families

• 281 food vouchers assisted 79 families in need

• R1 461 742 in transport funds helped families travel to and from treatment

• 758 carebags were given to newly diagnosed children and teens

Beyond the numbers, this support means families can stay close to hospitals, parents can focus on their child’s recovery, and vulnerable households receive compassionate care during an incredibly difficult time.

The COWS community plays a vital role in helping CHOC continue its nationwide services and ensuring that no child fights cancer alone.
